Case study · Humera, living with GERD

From monthly hospital visits to steady energy

Humera was in hospital every month with stomach problems. Three months on, she has come on leaps and bounds.

The starting point

Humera was recommended to me by a friend. She was feeling overwhelmed and was in hospital every month with stomach problems. She came to me not understanding what was going on with her stomach. It affected her sleep, her mood and her weight, and she was eventually diagnosed with GERD (gastro-oesophageal reflux disease, also known as GORD).

During this time, she found it difficult to plan her day because her sleep was out of routine and her mood was low.

How we worked together

We started with nervous system regulation. This worked wonders, and she could see a difference. We then looked at lifestyle interventions and what could change.

Where they are now

It has been over three months, and she has come on leaps and bounds. You can see it in her energy. What Humera has learnt is to join the dots, understand what can hinder her progress, and make those changes straight away.
